BIO

Mexican artist, designer and musician born on 12/12/78.
He lives and works between Tepoztlán, Morelos and Mexico City.

His artistic work has led him to explore different disciplines, mainly audiovisual and temporary (video installation, music, sound art) as well as spatial: architecture and sculpture.

His work offers direct aesthetic experiences, where ideas from spiritual traditions usually appear. Using contemporary tools, searching for the creative oneness of languages and cultural categories.

In recent times, he has turned to explore the relationship of man with the natural world and its forms.

His career has been multifaceted: He began by producing and publishing records of experimental popular music endorsed by international critics and in parallel he has made and exhibited video and sound installations in individual and collective exhibitions.

He was also director and founder of the digital design studio Armetica from 2006 to 2016. He participated in the production of soundtracks for various audiovisual projects and has directed architectural projects as a designer in collaboration with colleagues under the name Arata (2017- 2022).
